My name is Mackson Wakama and I have over thirteen years’ experience in various aspects of banking.
My specialities are digital banking and FinTech. I am an innovation enthusiast as well as a Business Process Analyst.
In some of my previous roles, I led teams that were tasked with deploying and managing electronic banking products such as mobile banking apps, internet banking apps, card schemes, international remittance schemes, ATMs and various electronic payment schemes with the Nigerian government and other private sector organisations.
I have also been the Head of Innovation of a bank were I set up an innovation centre and was a member of the bank`s Change Advisory Board, IT Steering Committee as well as the Research and Development Committee.
To remain relevant in the changing world, I acquired a variety of professional qualifications including the British Computer Society`s practitioner certificates in Business Analysis Practice, Requirements Engineering and Modelling Business Processes. In addition acquired a foundation certificate in Information System Project Management as well as an ITIL certificate in IT Service Management. I also hold an MBA in Financial Services and I am a Chartered Accountant!!
